Voxpopme Insights for Claude
Voxpopme Insights connects your Voxpopme account to Claude, so you can ask questions about your qualitative video research in plain language instead of clicking through the portal.

It works anywhere Claude supports connectors — claude.ai, the desktop app, and the mobile apps.

What you can do with it
Find work. "What are my live projects?", "Which studies did I create last month?", "Find the project about cart abandonment."

Understand a study. "Summarise the main themes and sentiment in Dog Toy Purchasing Insights", with themes, sentiment and demographic breakdowns pulled from the responses themselves rather than summarised from a title.

Find the evidence. "Find moments where participants mention price." Results come back as real quotes from real responses, with the respondent and the timestamp, so you can go straight to that point in the video.

Read the raw material. Full transcripts, per response, with translations where they exist.

Quantify a topic. "How often do respondents mention delivery, and does that differ by age?" — counts of matching sentences and unique respondents, broken down by demographic.

Plan new research. Describe a study in a sentence and get a complete draft specification back — questions, screeners, targeting, sample size. The draft is yours to edit; nothing is created until you explicitly ask for it.

Setting it up
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and choose to add a custom connector.
Enter the server URL: https://mcp.voxpopme.com/mcp
Claude will send you to the Voxpopme portal to sign in. Use your normal Voxpopme login.
Approve the consent screen. That's it — no API key, no client ID, nothing to copy and paste.
What it can and cannot see
It sees exactly what you see. The connector acts as you. It can only reach the accounts and projects your own Voxpopme login already has access to.

It cannot switch accounts. If you belong to more than one account, the connector uses the default account you have set in the Voxpopme portal. Claude cannot change that on your behalf — if you want a different account, change your default in the portal. Asking for another account's data will simply be refused.

Most of what it does is read-only. Of the tools available to Claude, 26 only read data. Seven can write: creating a project from a specification, attaching an exclusive group, setting a project's suppression window, uploading a stimulus file, uploading a respondent video, and starting deep-research or showreel jobs. Claude will ask you before running any of these, and the ones that change an existing project are marked as such so that Claude always prompts.

Writing needs the same permissions as the portal. Creating a project or uploading a respondent video requires company_admin access on the target account, exactly as it does in Voxpopme itself.

What happens to your data
When you ask Claude a question, the parts of your Voxpopme data needed to answer it — transcripts, themes, respondent demographics — are sent to Claude in order to produce the answer. That data is then handled under your organisation's agreement with Anthropic, not by Voxpopme.

Video responses are research data and can include participants' faces, voices and whatever they chose to say on camera. Treat a Claude conversation containing them with the same care you would a transcript export.

Troubleshooting
"I signed in but Claude says it can't see any projects." Check which account is set as your default in the Voxpopme portal. The connector uses that account, and if it is not set you will need to name an account explicitly.

"It asked me to sign in again." Sessions expire. Re-authorising takes a few seconds and does not need the connector to be re-added.

"A signals report came back empty." Signals reports are only available to accounts entitled to them. Speak to your Voxpopme contact.
