Understanding why responses are marked as poor and how to get back on track.
Why is my rating decreasing?
Every poor response you receive will decrease your Influence user rating. There are a number of different criteria that responses are scored against — below are the most frequent reasons responses are reviewed as poor.
Common reasons for a poor response score
🔊 Audio problems
This is mainly caused by background noise — voices, television, or street sounds. Make sure you are in a quiet environment when you record your response.
👁 Visual problems
The room may not be well-lit, there may be a smudge on your camera, or there could be too much movement. Make sure your face is fully visible before you begin recording and avoid recording while moving.
❓ The question wasn't fully answered
Check the question and further details carefully — make sure you have tried to cover all of the points in the further information. Normally each question will only contain 2 or 3 points to cover within the allocated time.
A helpful reminder
💡 You don't have to answer every question. Your response is judged on its content — if you don't feel you know enough about a topic to leave a good response, it's perfectly fine to skip the question.
